Kingsley Holsgate
Kingsley is a South African explorer, humanitarian, author and raconteur extraordinaire. A fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, he has been described by Getaway Magazine as “the most travelled man in Africa” and has modeled himself on David Livingstone. Nicknamed the ‘Greybeard of African Adventure’, Kingsley has traversed the continent by foot, canoe, bicycle, inflatable raft and Land Rover, following the overgrown trails left by the world’s most famous explorers, meeting legendary tribes and crossing its crocodile and hippo infested waters. Kingsley’s latest adventure took him to the very centre of the continent -the Heart of Africa – a place so remote that it has never been touched by humankind.  Join us in hearing about his most exciting and dangerous expedition to date.  Kingsley has written several books about his expeditions and fronted several National Geographic documentaries.
